Modeling Masonry Walls using Composite Method

$25.00

This numerical model is  based on a laboratory sample and presented the macro modeling method that many researchers use today to simulate the behavior of masonry walls. by evaluating this model, you will be able to simulate any type of masonry wall and extract the contour of stresses, strains and wall/block cracks.  CAE and JNL and Result Excel files are provided to you by purchasing the product. You can edit and run Model using Abaqus 6.14.1 or later versions. for more detail please read the below description.

Description

Composite Modeling of Masonry Walls (Macro Modeling)

“Structural Numerical Research Center” provides numerous numerical models to assist scientists and researchers all over the world. For last 13 years, we have always aimed to improve engineering knowledge and develop the findings. Masonry buildings are the most existing buildings in the world, so researchers are always developing their construction and retrofitting methods. One of the most accurate methods for predicting the behavior of these buildings is their numerical modeling and finite element analysis, which fortunately is possible today using software such as Abaqus.

This Product:

Numerical modeling of masonry walls generally divides into two categories: micro and macro modeling. Masonry wall is a composite member which its behavior composed of three components; brick, mortar and brick-mortar interactions. In modeling by micro method, all components must produce with full modeling details, for this reason, this method has a lot of calculation and modeling cost for the user. In macro modeling, despite the aforementioned problems, the response of the structure is relatively accurate and users face less calculation time.

Where the overall response of a masonry building is considered to predict, the macro method is suitable to use. Especially when you are about to find the behavior of masonry building in 3D space.

This ABAQUS model (Composite Modeling of Masonry wall) is based on a laboratory sample.  CDP Criterion (criteria) has been used for material behavior of composite wall that many researchers use to simulate the behavior of masonry members. By evaluating this model, you will be able to simulate any type of UR Masonry Walls and extract contour of stresses, strains and cracks. You can watch a summary of our Abaqus video tutorial below.
